Fiction bibliography
This is the full bibliography of my published fiction. There's a separate summary page with a catalogue of free fiction available on the website, and the book listings on this page give links to the book's own page, all with free excerpts. Most of my fiction is gay erotic romance, and most of it's science fiction or fantasy, but there are exceptions. I'm still updating these pages plus the individual book pages after the closure of Loose Id.
There's also a printable list with just the titles, ISBNS etc on a separate page, given in order of first publication, and also by series.

Buildup
In the distant future, space-travelling humanity has settled much of the galaxy--and as humanity is prone to doing, has divided into different political groupings and cultures, with varying degrees of tolerance both for each other and for other intelligent species. No one political domain is powerful enough to dominate, but that doesn't stop some of them trying...
The novellas Mindscan and Pulling Strings were originally published by Loose Id. They're both standalone books that are complete in themselves, and it's not necessary to read them in the order they were written.
There are rough notes for several other stories of varying lengths. There's rather more story to come than is suggested by the brief summary above, but the characters don't know that yet. :-) Next book planned is about Base Commander Trel, a character who appears offstage in Pulling Strings. As always, don't hold your breath. I'm not the world's fastest writer.
In Like Flynn
Be careful what you wish for in public; especially when it's your hot new boss.
A series of erotica short stories, starting with A Collision With Reality and with more to follow. Flynn’s not as anonymous as he thinks when he tells his chatroom friends what he wants his new boss to do to him. When his boss confronts him, Flynn’s choice is put up or shut up. He can play out the fantasy or walk away and forget about his fantasies forever.
Lord and Master
The one PA in the building who can't marry the boss.
A tycoon-secretary romance where the tycoon and the secretary are both men, and both industrial scientists. It has a disabled hero, although that's not obvious until well into the first book, and has a much more realistic take on disability than "true love and great sex are a magic cure". (Yes, I'm getting a lot more in your face about that 15 years on from writing this book. We get HEAs too, thanks.)
When Mark Paulson went for a job interview with an old friend of his PhD supervisor, he wasn't expecting to be instantly attracted to the man. Steven Frost was simply looking for a young scientist to train as his assistant in running his engineering company; he wasn't expecting to get an attractive young man who looked the part of an openly gay CEO's trophy secretary. They were amused by other people's speculation about them, at least until the attraction flared into something they couldn't ignore...
So far, the original novel, Lord and Master, set in 2003-March 2004 (with an epilogue in 2006), a novelette Old Age Creeping Over Me set in May 2004, Taking Work Home, a novel set in June to December 2004, and a short story Flight of Dreams set in 2008.
The whole thing started as a short story which eventually became the basis of a chapter in the novel, although the original short story is different in tone to the romance series. The story spent a couple of years sitting in various anthology slushpiles, and by the time it was published, the Civil Partnership legislation had passed in the UK -- which gave me an idea...

Spindrift series
When myth comes to life, love becomes legendary...
What if the legends of Britain were real? How do the last few silkies living off the shores of Britain and Ireland cope with the modern world and its cradle to grave paperwork, when exposure could mean the status of freaks -- or worse? And what happens when a sympathetic outsider stumbles into the secret of one small Scottish fishing village where not all the fishermen are as human as they look?
So far one novel, Spindrift, and the sequel novella Ship To Shore. I've no further books plotted out yet, but there are some obvious strands from the first two books to follow up on.
The Syndicate
Please note that the commercial edition of this series is out of print, and the entire series is now available as free downloads on this website. The print omnibus of the first two volumes is still available second-hand (and new copies are available directly from me, as I still have a few author copies left).
A few centuries from now, the technology in IT may have changed, but the BOFHs haven't. An erotic sf series demonstrating that geeks have sex lives too, written with Alex Woolgrave. It's a romantic comedy with the sex on-screen. :-) It's best described as fluffy BDSM gay romantic comedy in space, although the BDSM doesn't get all that obvious until Volume 2.
The series to date consists of three volumes of linked short stories and a short novel forming an overall story arc of about 120 000 words, plus a 9000 word novelette. The first three volumes are a romantic comedy following the relationship of geek and engineer from their first meeting to their wedding night. The original plan was to write the short stories in volumes 1 & 2, which together make up a novel which more or less follows the classic romantic comedy plot, complete with "Will you marry me?" scene in the final chapter. So we did that, and the book was split into two volumes by the original publisher, because at the time longer ebooks were often serialised. There was a throwaway line in the "Will you marry me" scene about Vaughan liking the idea of Allard in white bridal robes. After we'd written it, we thought, "You know, we'd quite like to see Allard in white bridal robes." When we mentioned the idea to the beta-readers, it turned out that they liked the idea as well. So we wrote a short novel, Volume 3, all about the preparations for the wedding plus the big day itself. One of these days we may get around to telling people the story of the interesting ways in which the honeymoon did not go according to plan.
The first two volumes were originally published in 2003 by a now-vanished micropublisher. Those two plus volume 3 were then picked up by Loose Id as part of their first quarter lineup when they opened in 2004. The first volume, second volume and third volume were available as ebooks, along with a novelette, The Syndicate: Four Leaf Clover, which was added to the series in March 2005. Four Leaf Clover was written for St Patrick's Day, and actually comes after the as-yet-unwritten honeymoon story in the series timeline.
Volumes 1 & 2 were also published in an omnibus trade paperback published by Loose Id ISBN: 978-1-59632-134-2. Second-hand copies are available from both brick-and-mortar and online bookshops, including amazon.com and amazon.co.uk .
